WTHI. Part 4 of six-part series on ghost stories of the Wabash Valley. This is about Spook Light Hill in Clay County. The legend is a man and wife were riding in a carriage/car ? and they had an accident and the wife was decapitated. If you go to the bottom of the hill at night and flash your lights three times, you're supposed to see a lantern wandering along the hillside and along the creek, supposedly the man looking for his wife's head.
In reality, it could be reflected car lights from Highway 59 nearby or swamp gas.
Interview with Clay Co. Sheriff Wayne Lucas who has seen the light several times.
