Committee to look at future of Indiana Coal Industry and find ways to keep coal producers in the state. They met in Vincennes.
Lt. Governor John Mutz and Linton Mayor Pat Turner spoke to reporters about the committee.
They want to see more Indiana coal used in Indiana. They want to have a fixed price for utilities to buy more Indiana Coal and they don't like how utilities can pass along transportation costs of bringing in fuel along to consumers, making it easier to bypass Indiana Coal.
Any of these ideas would need to be passed by Indiana Legislature
