Mary Jane Croft

Mary Jane Croft was born in Elwood, Indiana, in 1916 and began acting on radio dramas at WLW, Cincinnati. She became very active in network radio in the 30’s and 40’s, and appeared regularly on episodes of “Blondie,” “The Mel Blanc Show,” “One Man’s Family,” and “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.” Moving to television in the 50’s Croft appeared on “Our Miss Brooks,” and “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.” During the years 1962 to 1974 she had roles as sidekick to Lucille Ball on the “I Love Lucy” series and “Here’s Lucy.” 

Croft died at her Los Angeles home in 1999.
