Charles T. Brockman

Originally from Speedway, Indiana, Charles Brockman worked sports for both WXLM-AM and WIRE-AM during his early career. He was a member of the Indianapolis 500's Motor Speedway Network, conducting winner interviews from 1954 to 1959. In the '60s, he was sports director for Channel 13, worked on ABC's "Wide World of Sports" and anchored coverage of the 1965 Indianapolis 500. Brockman was president of the United States Auto Club from 1969 to 1972. He died on January 19, 2005.

Charlie Brockman was inducted into the Indiana Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame in 2006.
