The first half is a biography dedicated to a man named Jim Clark. Jim was a man from Scotland who grew to become a world racing champion and Indy 500 winner nicknamed the Flying Scot. After numerous wins in the Grand Prix Clark made the move to competing in the Indy 500, eventually winning and becoming the champion of both sides of the world.The second half is a documentary style coverage of the 1967 Indy 500 and the many upsets, crashes, and overtakes of the dramatic race, with Anthony Joseph Hoyt Jr. taking the final victory after a dramatic final crash of a number of his competitors.
