Joseph and Shirley Wershba both worked at CBS in the 1940s and beyond. They started in radio and Joe later transitioned to television. They were both involved in the famous Edward R. Murrow "See It Now" 1954 broadcast about Senator Joseph McCarthy. They were two of the main sources for George Clooney's movie and stage versions of "Good Night and Good Luck."

Mike Conway interviewed the Wershbas as part of Conway's "The Visualizers" research project on the early years of American television news. Jim Wrocklage was the videographer on the interview, which was recorded at the Wershba home in Manhasset Hills, Long Island, NY
