[AI-Generated Summary] Indiana University has officially introduced Darian DeVries as the 31st head coach of the men’s basketball program, marking the beginning of a new era in Bloomington. DeVries, who previously found success leading the programs at Drake and West Virginia, was selected for his track record and his alignment with the university's vision for the team. During his introduction, he emphasized the importance of the student-athletes and the passionate student section at Assembly Hall, noting that his goal is to build a team the community can consistently take pride in as they work toward raising new banners. Despite the excitement, DeVries faces an immediate challenge as he must rebuild the roster from scratch and assemble a new coaching staff while navigating the open transfer portal.
