Larry Racies had a long career in CBS radio and later, television, starting in 1940. He was part of the small crew that started CBS-TV in the mid-1940s at WCBW in New York City. He became one of the first photographers/cameramen for CBS-TV.
Mike Conway interviewed Larry Racies as part of Conway's "The Visualizers" research project on the start of American television. Jim Wrocklage was the videographer on the interview, which was conducted at Racie's home in Manhattan, New York City.
