Philip Scheffler worked at CBS-TV news from 1950, until well into the 21st Century. He worked closely with Don Hewitt on the launch of "60 Minutes" in 1968 and stayed with that program the rest of his career.

Mike Conway interviewed Scheffler as part of Conway's "The Visualizers" research project on the early days of American television news. Jim Wrocklage was the videographer. The interview was conducted in Scheffler's "60 Minutes" office on West 57th Street, Manhattan, NYC.
