Av Westin was an important part of American network television news in the 20th Century. He started with CBS radio in the 1940s and later transitioned to CBS-TV news. He moved to ABC News and helped create and produce the "20/20" news magazine with Barbara Walters and Hugh Downs.
Mike Conway interviewed Westin as part of Conway's "The Visualizers" research project on the early years of American television news. the interview was conducted in an office in New York City.
