Jack Hanes spent 37 years in commercial & educational broadcasting, including seven years at WTHI-TV, followed by Vincennes University and Western Kentucky University.
His “collection” includes one very historic broadcast. Hanes hosted a kids show called “Captain Jack” on WTHI-TV. In 1979, Larry Bird and other members of the #1 ranked Indiana State Sycamores basketball team appeared on the Captain Jack show. Hanes interviewed the players and had them compete in a drawing contest.
