Joe Piggott

Born and raised on Indianapolis’ Eastside, Joseph M. Piggott began his broadcasting career in Logansport in 1951. Known as Joe Pickett, he worked at radio and television stations in Indiana, including WFBM, WIBC, WXLW, WISH, WSAL and WLRP, as well as stations in Cincinnati, Columbus, OH, St. Louis and West Palm Beach. During the 1960’s and 1970’s he teamed with Glenn Webber on one of the most popular radio shows in Indianapolis, the Pickett-Webber Thing on WFBM. Later, he partnered with Fred Heckman on the WIBC morning news. He died April 20, 2013, at the age of 90.
