Scott Blumenthal

Beginning his broadcast career in 1970, Scott Blumenthal has had a successful career in and out of the state of Indiana. After earning a degree in Communications from Indiana State University, he began his career first at WTWO-TV in Terre Haute, Indiana, then WRTV-TV in Indianapolis. In 1983, LIN Media recruited Blumenthal to be the new local sales manager for WISH-TV. His career only went up from there: He became the president and general manager of WOOD-TV and WOTV-TV in 1994 in Grand Rapids, Michigan; then the president and manager of WISH-TV in 1999; and then the regional vice president for LIN Media in 2002. By 2006, Blumenthal was the executive vice president of television at LIN Media, where he stayed until his retirement in 2013.

Scott Blumenthall was inducted into the Indiana Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame in 2012.
